I am the fisheries professor in the Fisheries and Wildlife program at VCSU. I grew up in Louisiana, spent about 10 years in Texas, over 2 years in Utah, and ended up here in North Dakota in 2011. I am an avid hunter and fisherman in my spare time and have a significant interest in nongame fish species. During the summer, I am able to employ a few students and we conduct stream fish surveys throughout North Dakota. I have a deep appreciation for the clear waters of the Texas Hill Country and the immense recreational opportunities at the Texas Gulf Coast. I am excited for our students to get to experience the diversity of organisms that are found in Texas. Plus, I get to have some fresh seafood!!
