Hello, I am Zach Edwards. I am a Fisheries and Wildlife Major at Valley City State University in North Dakota. I am from Northfield, Minnesota, and I have always had a strong connection with the outdoors. Ever since I was younger, I have always learned better when I am able to physically see and observe. I have obtained experience from the North Dakota Game and Fish while in college to further my career goals in the fisheries and wildlife field.
I have been an avid hunter and fisherman throughout my life, and I have always found reptiles and amphibians quite extraordinary. I hope to add to my list of herps as well as fish while on the Texas field trip. I recently got into birding as well, so I am very excited to add to my life list of birds.
I have family down in Auburn, Alabama, so I have been down south before. Unfortunately, I have not been able to use my newly acquired knowledge down there. This trip provides an amazing window of opportunity to learn more about my environment in the southern region of the United States and gain more depth as an individual in my major.
