My name is Colton Taylor. I live on a farm outside of Redwood Falls, Minnesota and graduated from Wabasso High School in 2018. I am a senior here at VCSU majoring in Environmental Science. I’ve loved the outdoors for as long as I can remember. I love to hunt and fish whenever I get the chance. A few years ago, a buddy of mine introduced me to fly fishing and now you won’t find me leaving home without one of my fly rods. I have only ever fished in Minnesota’s lakes, rivers, and streams. Going on this trip to Texas will give me the opportunity to experience not only fishing in another state but a different environment with different factors such as the climate, habitat, and wildlife. This will also be my first time seeing and experiencing the ocean. I am excited to get out of the Midwest to learn and enjoy what Texas has to offer.
